Glenn + Dana | A Beautiful Harry Potter Backyard Wedding in Cary

It has been said since well before I became a wedding photographer that rain on a wedding day is good luck, but I have never met a bride who would be excited to have rain included in the plans for their outdoor wedding day. When I was packing up my things for Dana and Glenn’s wedding and looked outside it was full cloud coverage and it looked like rain was imminent so I was certain that Dana would be stressing, but when I arrived at her sister’s house to start her wedding day coverage, let me tell y’all I have NEVER seen another bride so composed and calm. Dana was so excited to be marrying Glenn that nothing could possibly bring her down.

Thankfully aside from a few sprinkles on the drive up, not a drop of rain fell on Glenn and Dana’s beautiful day! Which is so lucky, because all the details put together lovingly by Dana, Glenn and their families were stunning! The bride absolutely loves Harry Potter and their reception area was full of nods to the beloved story.

Dana and Glenn were married in an intimate backyard ceremony by her older sister Stephanie while her other sister Miranda stood at her side as her Maid of Honor. Glenn was accompanied by his brother Matthew as his Best Man and his sister Peyton served as a bridesmaid to her new sister-in-law. It was such a beautiful and meaningful ceremony and reception unique to the couple in every way.
